Regarding dairy products, what is 5% cream?

I am planning on making a portuguese dessert for the holidays and the recipe I have found online states ';use 5% cream';. I am a little lost by this one. Its obviously not half n half, heavy cream, or a 2% milk. The recipe was written by an american who talked of her families heritage but I have no contact info to ask her. The dessert is called Pudim de Claras / Egg White PuddingRegarding dairy products, what is 5% cream?
Just use whole milk, it won't make any difference.
