Does ';Ice-cream'; contain real dairy products, i.e. Milk/Cream.?

Like the type sold in most big outlets.Does ';Ice-cream'; contain real dairy products, i.e. Milk/Cream.?
These are the ingredients in McDonald's Ice Cream: Vanilla Reduced Fat Ice Cream: Milk, sugar, cream, nonfat milk solids, corn syrup solids, mono- and diglycerides, guar gum, dextrose, sodium citrate, artificial vanilla flavor, sodium phosphate, carrageenan, disodium phosphate, cellulose gum, vitamin A palmitate. CONTAINS: MILK.

Yes, the first ingredient of all ice cream is milk, the flavor changes based on the fat content of the milk. I don't know where these other crazy answers are coming from.Does ';Ice-cream'; contain real dairy products, i.e. Milk/Cream.?
Italian ice cream was noted for this. most ice creams are made differently the exceptional ones contain dairy products. There are different things added to the major consortiums.
Supposed to have milk powder in it.
It should contain cream. If it doesn't, it has yoghurt or something else that isn't dairy.
i think so
Unless the ice cream actually states that it is ';Real Dairy Ice Cream';, the chances are that it contains little or no milk or cream. One common way to produce a creamy taste in lower price ice-cream is to use a seaweed extract.
The clue is in the name, hon. 'Cream' is from full fat milk. Real dairy.
It varies, but the cheap stuff doesn't contain much. Somehow ice vegetable fat doesn't sound so appetising.
Yes it does
YES . SOME OF IT DOES BUT THE CHEAP KIND DONT.
yes. that's why it's in the dairy section.........
if you are ever in the lake district go to buttermere and the farm there sells home made ice cream made from milk from there own herd and it is beautiful, the rhubarb is lush
Yes, well, the good stuff does.
most mass produced ice cream does contain milk derivatives, although generally not as much as you might expect. they will contain often skimmed milk powder, but not very often cream. if you need dairy free ice cream you could try a health food shop. Holland %26amp; barrett stocks 'swedish glace' which is dairy free but oh so creamy.
Yes, but you can get certain brands that don;t use cows milk e.t.c.
Yes it does, Ice cream is made from mixing cream with sugar and other things, then cooling it soit goes solid, you can find the recipe from a simple intenet search.

Some companies make it without any dairy prodce at all - mostly vegetable fat and water and sugar (for example I think that is what McDonalds sell - they dont use dairy produces generally - their ';milk'; is also the vegetable fat / water mix). You can check what the particular type contains with a quick read through the ingredients list, or if you are eationg out, ask the person servintg you
yes.

and my brother can't eat it cause he's lactosentolernt
Walls brand does not contain much if any. Do a comparison taste against a good brand say Movenpick, and you'll never eat Walls again.
Yes I think most should but I would check the ingredients. I think different icecreams will vary in quality. I guess if you want to have icecream that is made just from these ingredients, you could try making it yourself or buy an icecream maker...worth it if you eat it a lot!
