are they the same? the retinol and retin-A?

can an 18 year old female use this already to prevent wrinkle formation? Are there any disadvantages in using products (creams, moisturizers) that contain RETINOL or RETIN-A?are they?
Retinol. Retin-a. Vitamin A.

They're all the same thing.

Vitamin A- A natural ingredient. Found in plant, veggies, etc.

Retinol- The animal form of vitamin a. Found in livers, eggs, etc.

Retin-a- A chemically altered version of vitamin a.

They all promote renewal of the skin. What they all do is get into your pores, speed up your production of new skin cells, push them to the top layer, and push off the dead, damaged skin cells.

Retin-a has added ingredients to help it fight acne better.

While retinol and vitamin a creams are more aimed towards anti-aging.

Yes, you can use these creams early on and for long term use.

All they do is promote new skin, healthy skin. :)

Good luck. :)
