i really want ice cream honesty i do not know what to eat any moreWhat type of ice cream products or brand prodicts can i eat if i have type 1 diabetes?
You can eat any kind of ice cream. You just have to make sure that you account for the carbohydrates.
If it is a high carb, high calorie, then you may want to eat less, or it might be a larger scoop if it is a low carb low cal selection. The carbs are what will directly effect your blood glucose. The fat can delay this effect though. Read the label and watch portions.
There really are no forbidden foods, just ones that you may not want to eat frequently.
That said...
I agree that B%26amp;J is great ice cream. But a great ice cream that is already portioned for you is Skinny cow. They have wonderful cones and ice cream sandwiches. They run about 25g of carbs and 150 cal each, and they are already portioned. Not to mention they taste awesome. What type of ice cream products or brand prodicts can i eat if i have type 1 diabetes?
Any that you want, as long as you take the proper insulin for it.
Just don't make it all the time lol.
Try Ben %26amp; Jerries Cherry Garcia, low-fat frozen yoghurt, with cherries and chocolate. It's low fat, low sugar, and tastes absolutely fabulous !!
Any of the 'skinny cow' ranges are good, as they are low fat/sugar.
Find a way to eat ice-cream and keep your sugars okay, It's possible. :)

My son has type 1 diabetes. He eats the regular stuff and take the proper insulin for the carbs. We go with double churned because that has somewhat less carbs and fat.
You should meet with a dietician if you do not understand your food restrictions.
Sugar free/ light icecream. You just gotta try out the brands. Some are gross, some are nice. Don't buy chocolate flavour...they are all gross lol. If you can't find a nice tasting sugar free one then you can have normal icecream just make sure you give yourself enough insulin to compensate for it (2-4 units). It's all trial and error
There are sugar free ice creams. If you look in health food stores you can also find some ice cream sweetened with agave.
Actually ice-cream contains sugar, so it should be avoided at all times. Yoghurt is a healthier alternative.
